Perfect place to have some drinks on the patio on a warm sunny day! Dog friendly as well which is a plus since some places don't allow dogs even on the patio. The burger was delicious and so was the egg Benedict forentine! Definitely will be going back on the next warm sunny day. View all feedback.
What Vherny 415vern doesn't like about Atwater Tavern:
I would not recommend this restaurant at all. I went there for lunch with my best friend and the service was terrible. The food was cold and looked like something a child would eat. Additionally, the bartender completely ignored our table when going around asking if anyone needed drinks. Overall, the service was awful and I would not go back again. Very disappointing experience. A kind of pretentious institution... The food, although it wasn't terrible, was a little dirty. I had the Lachs Linguine. The view is fine if you have a decent point at the other edge than that not so much and it is industrial. I was here twice now, and both times felt just like the reason I'm hard is mainly because of the price. When looking at $8 to $12 drinks, they should get at least some of a bush after four of them I don't feel a thing extremely watered. And also expect to pay $30 or more for their meals... My meal and four drinks basically cost me $100 for a restaurant that should probably be half this price. Altogether simply not impressed as I said if the meals were lower, would it not feel as pretentious and it would have got a better rating from me?
I have just organized a celebration of life for my sister and I cannot think enough superlatives to describe the experience! We held it in the private event on the upper floor with the Crow's Nest (in the interior) and The Perch (except deck overlooking the bay). This part of SF is a delightful microclimate that is often sunny and warm, while other parts of the city can be foggy. Christina, the catering manager, was always responsive, detailed and extremely helpful in so many ways, including menu suggestions, cutting the amounts of food, as I helped me find the perfect florist, and allowed me to mail my 4 hours of Spotify Playlist for this event curated; there were indoor and outdoor speakers with separate sound controls. This was my first time planning an event, and of course it was difficult to cheat my sister's loss. Christina made everything so simple, and the event was really impeccable. All about the delicious food shaved, (deviled eggs, caprese skewers, vegetarian pinwheels, Spanish meatballs, mini-cabin cakes, white truffle mac and cheese balls, pulled pork peas, burger slider with cheddar, roasted red pepper aioli and caramelized on oils, fish and chips, Caesar I highly recommend them!
After COVID started, I decided not to give any negative reviews, hard times let people find out for themselves, but this place really needs one. Start positively the happy hour special buck a oyster is great, nice meaty delicious oysters a buck off wine and good drinks good deal. We got the paella and the seafood stew, the paella is served in a cast iron super hot chic, which burns the lower layer of the tasteless Muse with boiled chewing fish cubes, tasteless and burned, but photogenic quite summed the dish. My seafood stone was two shrimps, a scatter of shells and shells and more boiled fish cubes, the sauce instead of a beautiful Zioppino had actually a metallic can taste and was the consistency of Campbell tomato soup. A friend asked me why I didn't send it back and everything I could say was that it was basically erroneous who writes the menu and creates the food, sits back and lets the place carry and I would have got more of the same. Cool location, beautiful place, very nice servers and employees, give them something they can be proud not to serve something you think is good enough to not get through that.
Loved the location by the sea. There was a Veg Entree option throughout the menu and it was amazing.
We tried this place because it was advertised as the brunch spot during the Metallica 40th anniversary celebration. What was advertised as the brunch was a bit misleading. We expected a brunch menu with specialty drinks and good array of food. They had a few drinks listed but didn?t have a brunch offering. So we ordered a breakfast sandwich and pancakes. It was nothing special (see photos) and drinks were subpar. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was a general bar. Maybe lunch or dinner seafood options and drinks are better? Wanted to love this place but we will pass on giving it another try.
