We sat at the sushi bar and ended up getting the head sushi chef. He made us delicious sushi and recommended based on fish quality. He was also very accommodating with our allergies (celiac). The waitresses were also very knowledgeable on the sake and Japanese whiskey. Great experience! View all feedback.
What Natasha Yeh doesn't like about Tsunami Panhandle:
Got two of the most popular dishes: the carpaccio and the tan tan mian and they were both horrible. The tan tan mian was unnecessarily sweet. Several of the sushi items were the best and freshest my companion and I had ever had! Great service.
The food and waitstaff here were great! The atmosphere felt a little clubby for us with the loud house music. I get how old that makes me sound but it was intense. Also the table where we sat was pretty drafty as we were right in front of the door. We would have asked to move if there was a different table available. The bench seats on the wall looked cozy. The fish was fresh though, and that’s really the only reason why we were there!
The food was good and the staff one of the best I’ve encountered but music was too loud. They did respond to turning it down when asked so that was good.
Best bar tender Mauricio and our waitress Emilie !! Made our date night!! Thank you!
As noisy as a sport bar. More expensive than average. Sitting places are not all comfortable. Best spot is small table for 2 on the right near to the entrance, only place where you can have a conversation. Food is good but overpriced
