Previous experience here was great but last night’s visit was very poor. Food was still good but service was seriously lacking. Waiting over mins after being initially seated before water or drink orders were taken. Then after the chips/salsa arrived, waited quite awhile for our meals to arrive. Went there for Taco Tuesday. Shockingly, it was rather empty at the headquarters location. The food isn't as good as two months ago. The Chicken Al Pator was tough and salty. So was the filet taco. The fish taco had too much dressing. The short rib taco was so salty I couldn't eat it. Overall, the ambiance and service ware good but the food was not. Probably can't get the right help. Ni reason to make a reservation if you get seated after and when you ask about open tables they say they are busing your table they take you to the exact table you pointed out.
My 2nd time to Puesto and 1st to the particular location. Very consistent, amazing food! Do not miss the Esquite! Excellent tacos and craft margaritas! Even the Agua Frescas were well done. (Only criticism to management would be to check on the cleanliness and plumbing issues in both the men’s and ladies restrooms). Great restaurant, though!
Simple menu. Tasty margaritas and tacos. Nice outdoor and indoor dining options.
My friend was visiting San Diego for the first time and I decided to take him out for dinner to one of my favourite restaurants in San Diego!! We enjoyed the evening!!
