Was at an event they catered and the food was amazing! If I need to cater in for anything I would call them. Been to the restaurant once and the coffee was really good as was the food. It was busy with a lot of Moms who had just dropped kids at school and they were having breakfast and fun. Good buzz, happy atmosphere, had to leave with the most delish brownie as well. Thumbs up! What Merdad Arya doesn't like about Nutmeg Bakery Cafe:
After a hectic week, I wanted to help my wife relax, so we spent $23.77 on a lavender mocha drink and avocado toast. Unfortunately, the drink was not decorated as expected, and the egg was undercooked. When we asked the manager, Dallas, to decorate the drink, they informed us that they don't charge for that service, which we found to be a peculiar excuse. What a great hidden gem. Testament to its greatness was how packed it was at 1130 on a Saturday. But, the line moved quickly and the food was definitely worth the wait. I had a Green Chile Pork and egg dish that was amazing. The pork was tender and the flavor profile of the dish which included some napa cabbage and Kale was innovative and delicious. I highly recommend Nutmeg Bakery and Cafe.
Hands down the best place from breakfast and lunch anywhere in north county!!! Love the local produce that is used regularly! If you haven’t gone here yet, you’re missing out!
I just went on Sunday for the first time and I have to say that this place was probably one of the best breakfast cafés I have ever been to. The food was out of this world fantastic and the service was absolutely great. I found my new favorite place in San Diego and plan on telling everyone this is a must whenever you're in San Diego
Been coming here since the day the doors opened. Every single time the food has been done to perfection, the service has been wonderful and even though the line is out the door on weekends for there amazing brunch menu(which changes weekend to weekend) it's 100% worth the wait. Love this place!
Nutmeg has amazing locally sourced hand made food. We drive from Ramona to eat here because we love it so much. The lines can be long but the staff are always so helpful and kind.
