Rating: 3.5/5 stars. We ordered the Paella, which I would rate 4/5. It was tasty, but a bit too oily and watery for my liking. The Enchilada and Taco, however, were disappointing at 2.5/5. The quesadilla was quite bland, as were the bean and cheese dishes. View all feedback.
What Alberto Gomez doesn't like about Barra Barra Saloon:
I've never had worse service. The waitress didn't introduce herself and ask us if we wanted drinks for around 10min. I had to flag her down for a water refill. She never showed up of her own accord. We had to ask for straws twice. She only showed interest in our experience when she brought the check and waited for the tip to be written on the machine. The food was also very greasy and mediocre. I'm never coming back. View all feedback.
Great mexican food with generous portion, peaceful vibe. hard to find the parking spot on weekend. fajita was my favorite.Food: 5/5
Yummy! Nice atmosphere great service, and totally yummy food.Food: 5/5
The chile cheese tamale was all corn and only a few pieces of chile here and there. There was cheese only on top. On a plus note the took it off my bill.Food: 2/5

Service was slow, and the food was decent. Nothing out of the ordinary, but, as expected for the area, overpriced. Dried out flour tortillas (even though they are made fresh in-house). I 've been to SD many times and I 'm yet to find a really good Mexican restaurant in the area with dishes that are full of flavor and well made (without having to pay 15 bucks for 3 mediocre tacos). There are worse places in the area, though (Cafe Coyote at the top). Barra Barra will accommodate a large party for you at least.
