"The atmosphere was really nice, but the portion sizes left something to be desired. I ordered the Shaka Tacos (fish), and I was a bit disappointed with how much I received. I understand that rising costs may affect this. On the other hand, my friend ordered the Gnarly Nachos, which were a great, affordable option for filling up. The parking was convenient, and the staff quickly seated us at a table. I would definitely come back!".
What User doesn't like about The Shwack Cantina:
The food was decent, and it was quite quiet during the weekday dinner. The margarita was reasonably priced. There was a charge for the chips and salsa on the table. The service was a bit slow, but the server was friendly. View all feedback.
Highly recommend the shrimp queso and the nachos. Delicious. House salad was great, and the pork was flavorful. Kids chickadees were dry, and the sauce was too spicy for them. They ate them with sour cream instead. Quick, friendly service even with big parties. The margarita did not have a good flavor, and it was small for the price.
Usually every thing is good but yesterday was the 3rd time I get sick from it. Burger smelled and tasted funky. Rancid. I ate every thing trusting it would be good but at the same time thinking of the other times I've gotten sick.
I had my high-time reception here, always great eating. big al with spuds are a must!
This place seems to go downhill. It's not bad to get, but eating is so a bit sore. we love to come here, but lately, the service is very and everything next to the burgers tastes like school caféteria eat. they have big enchiladas, but I stopped ordering after two disappointing attempts. the whole vibe over there lost her charm.
My friends and I found this gem and loved its food and service! We all ordered our very own versions of Surf Turfs, and enjoyed the marinade of the meat. The marinade was so flavorful. Drinks are reasonably priced beyond happy hour. I definitely will return again if I’m ever in San Clemente.
