Like many locals in San Antonio, my family has been visiting this restaurant since the 1970s when it was open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I’ve traveled all over the U.S., but only Golden Star knows how to make chop suey the right way! I had their egg drop soup, chicken chop suey, and a side of hot fish and fries. The fish is good. My favorite is the chicken fried rice and the cream cheese rangoons.
Food still good after all these years. Jukebox in the booths are out of order though.
The lemon chicken there is Amazing and the people there are always nice
