Mescolanza Restaurant - San Andreas

Threw a surprise engagement party here for my fiancé and Mescolanza DELIVERED! Last day change of arrival time for guests, no problem. Accurate and engaging service was spot on. I felt like we'd been patronizing week in week out for years. We sampled most of the the menu with no regrets. If you appreciate well thought, handmade, Italian fare with a twist, then reserve a table for friends and enjoy some of the finest food in San Francisco,

I'm not a pasta person, but I LOVED the food here! Scampi Mescolanza is a MUST eat! The flavors blended so well and the cream sauce was heavenly without being too heavy. The service was absolutely fantastic. Our party rolled in after a long day of hiking and looked a bit dingy and ratty. But, the waiter was attentive (not overly so) and still treated us like royalty. Or, at least what I suspect royalty would be treated like.

When you want good Italian food, you must eat here! We have had many birthday parties here and the service couldn't be better. I love to go with my fiance and enjoy a nice and relaxing meal.

After a nice walk through the Legion of Honor Museum we settled for an early dinner at Mescolanza. The carpaccio and the tortellini with prosciuto were delicious, the spinach spaghetti were ok. I would definitely go again if I happen to be in the neighborhood.

Good comfort Italian food. Friendly and attentive service. Desert was the only disappointment, though the desert wine was quite tasty and a nice touch. Would definitely go back if I were in the neighborhood again.
