This is a San Diego tourist visitor “must do”. Likely the wife will have to drag the husband to this “shopping Mecca”, but once there I believe that the food and drink will make it a good time for all! Come early and make a day of it as there is lots to explore. There is a huge parking lot by the main building…which is nice!VictorB View all feedback.
What Levi Labbe doesn't like about Liberty Public Market:
Filipino here, I was excited to order the Tocino all for supporting the business but this isn’t tocino it’s grilled chicken over rice, an egg, and some pickled veggies. I talked to the guy and he reiterated this is tocino it’s not. I’m sure other dishes are good but it’s false advertising to call this anything close to Tocino. View all feedback.
There were many vegan options! But I decided to try White Rice SD for dinner. The mushroom and tofu sisig was absolutely delicious. The garlic fried rice was super creamy (in the best way), and the mushroom/tofu mixture was super tasteful. For dessert, my friend and I share sesame balls of Mama Made Thai and vegan chocolate gelato from Le Parfait Paris. The sesame balls were average (but Mama Made Thai had several entrees that looked good), and the gelato was one of the better vegan gelatos I had in San Diego. I look forward to trying other options in the future, and the market is a fun place to get a meal.
You have vegan sauces available in the menu. And, make happy to order articles. Updated by previous review on 2022-09-24
This is by far the best food dish I have ever experienced because all sellers are local companies and not national chains. However, the many restaurants can appear overwhelming if you have not done your homework before time to find the vegan options. Cane Patch Kitchen Jacket Po. The boy wasn't so good. The sauce overwhelms the Jackfruit. Next time I try her Soy Sausage Po' Boy. Le Parfait Paris Vegan Chocolate Gelato was good, but not great. Next on my wish list: Weapon Ramen: Plant Based Tortas el Chapulin: Pambazo Torta White rice: Mushroom Tofu Sisig Bopjo: Burrito: Sesam Organic Tofu Bao Bar: Vegetable jam, Taro Custard Bun #Veganuary Updated by previous rating on 2022 01 29
It's a very cute indoor market with variety of foods and shops. You can prepare to spend 2-3 hours to walk/shop/eat around in and near the market. There are a lot of cute stores and cool foods! Would recommend to come here if you happen to be in San Diego:
An excellent place to grab food. We came here curiously and it was much better than we expected it to be. Parking lot is good but was limited but you could find parking on the street near by. So, if you're planning on coming, don't plan on parking in the parking lot because it was still packed when we were here on a Wednesday evening. The stores and food shops were all very well organized, clean and the menus were easy to read. It's quite easy to navigate through the place. Tables are very limited inside, so, you will have to keep an eye out for an open table or eat outside. We got food from Maine Lobster, the lobster roll is pretty small for the price. If you're use to the real lobster roll from the East coast, this one will satisfy your cravings but it is smaller than usual. The clam chowder was good but definitely not close to what East coast clam chowder is. Overall, an excellent place to visit in San Diego. Would highly recommend coming here if you're from out of town.
