Tasteeeeee The staff were helpful, the menu had loads of options we were interested in, the wine was delicious. All this and it's reasonably priced. We'll be back. View all feedback.
Just great. Great Yucca frits. Great soup, that was on the house because the kitchen was muded. That was a nice surprise. We talked and enjoy our time and the kitchen sent us this. Thank you for being proactive!
Delicious fresh Peruvian food, great service will definitely return. Had the chicken with chimichurri and mussels also fried Yucca. This is a find and good value.
The food was excellent. A great place for a chap. Very friendly service. I always like open kitchens as you can see that your food is being prepared. Large selection of wine with good prices during the happy hours
Very friendly place, all the food is delicious and very well cooked. I like the environment great place to go with family and kids. If you like Peruvian food you want to try this one.
Sometimes the universe conspires to put you in the right place at the right time for amazing experiences. Today was definitely one of those days with planets aligning to ensure we found Alma Cocina for lunch. They only just opened a few weeks ago, and we entered by chance, after exploring the vibrant art of Balmy Alley, drawn to the warm energy, delicious smells and enticing menu. We were welcomed with warm smiles the friendly hospitality of the beautiful staff and owners and instantly felt one with the stylish decor, gorgeous wooden paneling of the bar and warm ambiance created within. While waiting for my meal I indulged in a delicious and creative soju cocktail called 'Fake News '... it 's flavors where hypnotizing, and honestly i could have lapped up fake news all day. (Don 't worry though it 's the only fake news i 'm ever likely to consume while in the US) I had the Andean Style Chicharron, and it was one of the most breathtakingly delicious culinary experiences I experienced while in America. The pork was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth delicately enveloped by the simple yet complementary flavors of the mint, micro onions and other accompaniments and bound together beautifully by the bold contrast of the uchucuta sauce. Heaven in a dish if i 've ever experienced it, and definitely the beginning of my love affair with Andean and Peruvian cuisine. The food here was amazing, an absolute gastronomical delight to the senses, the recipes a mix of local and Peruvian cuisine combined with herbs and spices from the Andes and the best of fresh local produce, an alchemical genius bar manager and cocktail guru. The food was only outdone by the warm and embracing hospitality and service. 100% recommend checking this place out if you 're ever in San Francisco.
