We reached here around 2:00 PM. Directions:Walk straight out of Chitlom BTS and get into centralworld mall.walk past Apple Store and get to third floor. Food was really good. We ordered Chicken dumplings and some bun. It’s really good food. Just realized they won’t serve alcohol from 2:00PM till 5:00PM.All the food added up to $825 including tax. View all feedback.
What Pasachai T doesn't like about Din Tai Fung:
A well known franchise offering xiao long bao and other chinese food. This branch is one of the oldest and biggest in Bangkok. However, due to the restaurant being very spacey, the service is rather lacking. The food is average for the price, but the portion is rather big. My recommendation would be the original xiao long bao and shrimp and pork shiao mai. View all feedback.
Good classic dishes. Clean and good service. The chicken soup is great if you are feeling cold.
A good place for meat dumpling (sio lung pow). This eatery mainly serve Taiwanese food. I find their wine chicken to be very good also. Their meat dumpling size is a bit too small for me but taste good. I ordered their dry noodles with pork chop. The dry noodles is laced with black soy sauce, linseed oil and spring onions. The pork chop is seasoned with 5 spice powder and deep fried just like you can find them on a night market street in Taipei. This location is very busy and always full during dinner time. Waiting time for seat could be as long as half hour. Price is a bit high more than double than what you can find in a local restaurant in Taipei.
Classic Taiwanese brand of Chinese style restaurant. Xiaolongbao is their signature. Price bit at higher end, depends on how you order and for me is average 500 to 600 thb per person. Always a hearty meal whenever dine here. Central World branch can be very busy at lunch/dinner hours during normal times and booking is recommended. Apart from Xiaolongbao, there is also a lot of other food options. Xiaolongbao, spicy sour soup, fried rice, spinach, plum soda, and various Chinese soup is my favorite.
Taste wise very similar, the only issue is the dishes doesn't come in order like cold dish, XLB then main course. The rice come then small dishes haven arrive, then noodles is the last to come.
The food is great, up to the Din Tai Fung standard. The service is wonderful. The restaurant hygiene, however, needs improvement. The seating area is very dusty. There was a gigantic fly flying around while we were dining. The dust was all over the side and even on our plates.
