Do the Du. I was a huge fan of The Kathmandu I so when they opened this location downtown I got very excited. The food is identical in both locations so pick whichever one is closest to you and go! Ill paste my review of The Kathmandu I here because it all applies This is my favorite affordable restaurant in SLC. I could write a book on this place because I have been going for years. By far the best value is their $1... View all feedback.
What Marlin Wolf doesn't like about The Kathmandu Grill:
Good food; poor service. They're nice enough people who have no idea how to execute the basics of restaurant customer service. This could explain the relatively few diners and large numbers of take out pick ups I observed. View all feedback.
Fantastic lunch buffet for $16. I have my plate filled with three different types of rice with four different types of curry. come in and eat them delicious food.
No bad option if they are looking for an Indian lunch buffet. the options are similar to most buffets. arrived on Monday during lunch here and there were a good crowd in the restaurant. server were very fast at ordering and clearing boards. the favorite dish was the Tandoori chicken.
Ordered chicken vindaloo, garlauch naan and aloo paratha. overall the taste was great, the naans could have been cooked a bit more.
Loves the fresh Naan bread! I always order the lamb coconut corma, so delicate, much taste. my man ordered the chicken coconut korma. always eat a lot!
I was very surprised with the high quality and decent price. Loved their buffet, lots of options and tasted as good as ordering from a menu at another place. 100% will come back.
