eating was very good, but the service wasn't so great. it took about 15 minutes until the waiter noticed that we sat, there were only 6 or 7 tables with customers. a manager went twice from us and never asked if we had been waiting. the young man who sat in the reception area knew that we didn't help never buy a word. What User doesn't like about Ruth's Diner:
came to ruths for the story! it was a beautiful location in canyon, just a short drive away from salt lake city. we sat on the outside terrace. the terrace is magnificent! full of trees plants separate the tables, and the ambiente was on place. the menu has called a section for our vegan friends it has an article, a nice teriyaki stir fry. I asked for it without mushrooms, but I was informed that it was premixed. I h... View all feedback.

We cannot drive the city salt lake without stopping at ruth’s diner. always busy, but the service and eating is great. the journey to the canyon worth. historical place.
Cool location in the mountains. somehow, it's nothing. it looks super popular, many people are waiting to sit outside on the terrace when the weather is beautiful. we had the pleasure of coming to the house immediately, even though they had a great deal. that was great, I thought the cookies were noisy. I like a big, dense, buttery cookie and that meets all these criteria for me. our server was very friendly, there were some long gaps between visiting on our table, but they were very busy and it did not ruin the experience. would definitely go back.
My wife and I had recently dinner on the terrace at ruth’s. even if we live in the opposite, we had both eaten at ruth for a few years, and in the rule, when we go there, it is too early. we went to dinner early, after 17:00 on Friday night. as always, ruth was crowded and there was a waiting time. if they were to sit inside, they could sit right away, but almost everyone wanted to sit on the terrace. the terrace at ruth is very attractive. my wife ordered the red trout with a spit of garnel, roasted red kartoffels and asparagus. I have the pan-seared pfefferminz in a dijon senf pfeffercreme sauce with roasted red kartoffels and vegetables. we got every house salad that was nothing out of the ordinary. the meals were good, but not spectacular. the service was good, but a little intrusive. when we finished our meal, there were two musicians who set up this evening. I recognized them that they saw many years ago maggie beers and julie brand playing. before we left the restaurant, we decided to wait and hear how they play a few songs. both played gitarren and sang. it was great to hear them play after all these years. overall it was a pleasant evening. the ambiente was pretty, and the meal was good, but not exceptional.
Perfect location, amazing atmosphere. They have great outdoor seating with live music. I was excited to try that place. I will be back for try more but breakfast was disappointing. Hash browns and egg was really bad also french toast. They have nobody for run that place. Servers are not following the details. That’s how you screw Saturday morning breakfast. But who is looking for perfect right? Will be back some burgers and beers. But not for the food just the environment.
