This is worth the drive! Takes us about 40 minutes to drive. Everything was hot and fresh. We all had catfish, and it was perfect. If you like good catfish, then make the drive! View all feedback.
What John Owens doesn't like about Shad's Catfish Hole:
Beans and Cole slaw were great. Honestly I would have stuck with just that but the catfish I got was small and not that meaty. I ate two pieces. The first piece had a bone too. My 3 year old daughter enjoyed it. She ate like 4 pickles but also liked everything View all feedback.
Outstanding Staff Great Food Just Wish I Lived Closer But I Have No Problem Driving Over A Hour To Get There It Is By Far The Best Place To
Fish was little salty. Needs more lighting ,add windows to the place. Find a babysitter the screaming kid running around was not cool to some people. Have a menu, wall is cool and all but kinda confusing.

Wonderful! If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault. Service was great and food was delicious
The food was absolutely amazing. Probably the best we have ever had there. However, the service was not. This was the second time that someone in our party had a drink accidentally spilled on them. The last time was my husband. This time it was me. The problem is that the waitress carries 4 drinks to the table in her hands and tries to set the first two down. The waitress last night did this same thing and spilled a Dr. Pepper on the table and all over me. My Iphone that was sitting on the table was soaking wet, my Dooney and Bourke purse that I had just got last week for my birthday was wet on the floor from the drink pouring off the table, and one of my new shoes that I had just got as well was soaked. I jumped up as fast as I could but I have MS and I can’t move very fast. When I jumped up, I pushed off with my left elbow and I now how a huge blood blister there because I take blood thinners for my heart condition. I had to go to the bathroom and clean up as best I could because my hands, feet and shoe were soaking wet. My cousin paid for our meal and he was too nice to say anything and paid for the whole bill. The last time they spilled on my husband, they marked on the receipt that his meal was free. Nothing was offered last night and no one said one word about the accident after the initial cleanup. I feel that the manager/owner should have been notified and at least come to our table to apologize but nothing was said or done. The waitress did make sure we had our food serviced but they essentially ignored the whole spill issue. Since this has happened 2 of the last 3 times we have been there, I am not sure we will come back.
