This place is a must-visit when you're in Salem! They have the best nachos in town! We've frequented Salem, and since we were staying at Hotel Salem, we had to give this spot a try. We had drinks and lunch upon our arrival, and honestly, the nachos were the best we've ever had. They weren't your typical nachos; the cheese was more like a queso and absolutely out of this world! The tacos were fantastic as well! Althou... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Roof:
my friends and I were so excited to be standing on the roof, we tried several times. the only thing we can enjoy, but when we got up there, it was clear. we spent more than 150 in cash, but obviously that was not enough to keep them from profiling, treating us with respect, and not allowed us to move to a table to drink further. the waitress was so rude, and they asked our group of 7 to move on two tops. so disappoin... Such a lovely little spot! It's the perfect location (right on Essex street) and surrounded by all sorts of fun shops, cafes, and restaurants (most of which are a few doors down and the rest are only about a 10 min walk away. The staff is really friendly and personable, they left us a personalized letter and some delicious cookies when we checked in. And we had a small problem with our AC leaking thanks to the terrible humidity and they were very sweet and fixed it right away and also offered us free drinks and appetizers at their on site rooftop bar (I highly recommend trying their chicken nachos which were so delicious the two of us basically ate them all. And the sky-tai was super good and in such an adorable glass) We had the king room and it was a great size and super comfortable. With a large TV and an awesome shower that was both gorgeous (lovely blue tile) and made for a neat showering experience. Definitely recommend for couples or friends wanting to get away and enjoy everything Salem has to offer.
I went on a trip to Salem back in may and this hotel is the BEST HOTEL EVER. It’s so cute and cozy. AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. IT WAS IMPECCABLE. I will definitely be returning in the near future. Location wise it’s right in the middle of everything so it’s all within walking distance no car needed. I cant wait to go back!!!Rooms: So cute and cozy!!Nearby activities: Literally everythingSafety: Very safe!!!Walkability: Everything is in walking distance!Food drinks: They have a bar down stairs and food I believe…But if none of it interest you Salem has FANTASTIC restaurants!!
This was one of my favorite hotels of all time! Excellent attention to detail with fabulous, artistic flair and super friendly staff. I especially like the serve yourself, seltzer machines, and the smell of the bath products as well as the gorgeous blue tiles in the shower and the overall aesthetic.Rooms: 5/5
Being from rural Maine, the thought of a big city hotel with NO PARKING was frightening. The hotel is located in the pedestrian mall in the center of the city. There are multiple open lots and a garage in a short walk, but to access both the lots and the on-street meters you need a parking passport app. Zachery Kayla on the front desk checking us in guided us through the process and helped explain how to make it simple. It's not outrageously expensive, $1.25/hour between 8AM-6PM. They, plus Ivanna and Meghan out front, were FABULOUS in answering our questions and providing suggestions. Indeed, EVERYONE we dealt with on staff, including housekeeping, bar staff at the onsite rooftop bar, EVERYONE had a positive, upbeat attitude. The room designs are modern and maybe a bit funky, but high ceilings and adequate floorspace give a spacious feel. And for exploring the Witch City and beyond, being right in the pedestrian section is excellent. A definite go to again
Excellent location, in the middle of everything! Friendly and helpful staff. There is no access to the building for unloading loading luggage so be prepared to take a short walk with your luggage over cobblestone/brick to get to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again though!
