they have a few vegan options, especially the sandwich was awesome imho, as it was different from other sandwiches, I had before (with many different fruits on it) but they also have scattered tofu and sweet causes View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gulu-gulu Cafe:
I came with my sister who lives in Salem because it had vegan and omni options. I didn't expect anything great, just a decent option at dinner with omnis. I've got the Jenseitsburger you'd think it's hard to get wrong, but no. The rolls were pretty rocky and the patty tasted like they were microwave or something. I've never had a Jenseitspatty so dry. Either that was weird. The pimples tasted. I know I sound like I'm... View all feedback.
Their vegan cozy crepes were delicious! I wish I could have them where I live! also got the breakfast sandwich on a bagel and it was good, but it wasn't as good as the crepes!
Happy Cow won't let me rate this 5 stars since it's not a fully vegan restaurant, which is a bummer because as a vegan, I can't say enough good things about this place. Although not a vegan restaurant, they have amazing comprehensive plant-based options. I had their sweet specialty veg caramel apple crepe and savory vegan breakfast crepe the first time I went, and the Charles cheese vegan mac and cheese the second time. Holy macaroni, these were all amazing. I crave crepes always but don't have any great vegan crepe options near me, and I'm very picky with my vegan mac cheese as they're usually not very good. I only wish I got to go more times! If I ever come back to Salem, this will be my first stop, even if I have to wait 1-2 hours again for it!
We loved our breakfast here the vegan breakfast sandwich and parfait. So many vegan options!
So glad we found this place- we actually ended up eating here twice in Salem!! Really great variety of vegan options from breakfast to lunch/dinner to dessert. All the staff members were super cool people too which made for a great experience
I was pleasantly surprised at how many options there were and that they offer vegan crepes! I got the beyond melt, with beyond burger, vegan cheeze, pickled jalapenos and onions. It felt a little overpriced at $15, though.
