When I was growing up in Sale, the Handy Store was a busy milk bar. It was quite dim inside and when I say 'busy' ... I mean that it had products everywhere. Because of it's location it was perfect for a working man to drop in and grab a quick lunch. Well today I wandered in and I was quite surprised. This restaurant lives up to its name. It offers a wide variety of home-cooked meals including curries and chicken carving burgers. They also have pre-made salad rolls and fresh salads. We were not disappointed, but recommend arriving early.
This shop has the best speck and eiersandwiches. let's not forget his ingenious brain cake. wonderful house cooked wine.
Excellent kitchen, with friendly service and clean environment, all at a good price.
The personal is always friendly. black rolls are the best.
