Have been here 4 or 5 times over last 3 months since moving to the area. Our meals have always been good and great variety including daily specials. Atmosphere is lovely and service is friendly and efficient. Definitely a favourite for us View all feedback.
What Matt I doesn't like about Criterion Hotel:
Booked online for a Sunday. Received a booking confirmation the day before only to turn up on the day and find the hotel closed. When I called the hotel number I was told by a staff member that the hotel had not been open on a Sunday for two months. Yes it is great for couples. Familys too. Quality food at an above price. Service is good, range of products is good.
The food is raw. Menu has 8 main dishes which can be found in any local place. No originality. Awful disgusting food.
We had a pre booked dinner. We ordered a bottle of wine. They forgot to check it was glass or bottle. Then we had to ask 2 times. Then we were told they looking for wine back doors and no alternate options served. The food was cold and cooked hours ago. The chicken Parma was burnt and raw disgusting chicken. The curry was raw chicken and smelt. I had to spit the chicken out. Customer service is a disgrace. They should be ashamed . Just because they are in a small town they can’t do this.
Fabulous food and a great range of beverages. The service was excellent and also friendly. A high quality country gem.
