La Maison Verte offers top-notch fine dining. The ambiance is cozy and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. The restaurant's location provides a beautiful view of the water from its many large windows. I highly recommend dining at La Maison Verte. View all feedback.
What OpenTable Diner doesn't like about La Maison Verte:
2nd time we go there and the food is again not on point. We thought it was ok the first time, with points to improve so we tried again but this time was worse. The sweetbread was terribly salty and was uneatable. The rack of lamb we ordered was blue when asked to be cooked medium rare. Very disappointed again. Will not return.
I have just been there for the third time. It did not disappoint. Their $28 table d'hôte for dinner was excellent value for money. One of my favourite restaurants.
This restaurant is a step back into the time. it is a lot of a special occasion/romantic dinner restaurant that we did not recognize until we arrived there. we sat in a cozy side on the lower level, which had wood cladding, chandelier and artwork. for sale. the tables were well spaced. it was charming and was neither cheesy nor pretentious. they take their weights, give them up, put them on them when they go. eating is very good. well prepared, well presented and in a reasonable portion size especially for a French restaurant. I had the carrot soup, the bavette and the apple cake. everything was delicious, well spiced and sown. the apple cake took about 15 minutes to come, but it was worth waiting. the crust was buttery and the temperature was exactly right. there was also an amuse book and a pallet cleaner. the prices are appropriate for quality and portion size. the service was attentive. while our waitress English spoke, she was obviously more comfortable in French. lower dinge, but she offered the tables next to us fresh comminuted pfeffer, but not for us. I asked and she brought it with. she engaged in much more chat, laughing and bantering with the French speaking tables and was very business as with us. I even spoke to her in French, as I was the only person on our table, who spoke French, but she still spoke to me in English majority, which was strange. Nevertheless, her English was more than sufficient to wait our table, she was efficient, checked if we enjoyed the food and if we needed something else. she described all the dishes and gave good recommendations. the other problem is that we were looking for a restaurant in Ile-Bizard. from any reason this restaurant is advertised as on the island if it is not. it is more or less at the beginning of the boul. Ste-Charles and gouin in Ste-Genevieve. it was a happy mistake because I probably never had gone over this restaurant or to him. I would have dispensed with a wonderful culinary experience. I would not hesitate to go back and I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Faaaantastic meal! delicious food, good service! large end of summer on the terrace. in any case recommend and we will be back
What a great evening after so long of not having a great gourmet meal out !! We had filet mignon and seafood trio. Both amazing !! I had to take a picture of my homemade sherbet trio and blueberry cheesecake as the presentation was a...show stopper. Eric the owner was so interesting to talk to. Thanks for a great evening !! After two recent visits since the COVID lockdown we can confirm this fine restaurant has not lost any of its former glory although they are slightly short staffed on occasion. The owner is actively looking for additional qualified personnel and, knowing M. Gosselin, the problem...should be resolved shortly. We have reserved with another couple in two weeks.
