This restaurant is great for lunch, they serve the best food and gives the best service you can find in Cote d'Azur. Location is fantastic, and even though the prices are high it is worth it. View all feedback.
What bjnitert doesn't like about La Vague d'Or:
We had lunch earlier this week at La Terrasse. Friendly and helpful staff but food was not to a standard I would expect from such a restaurant. With the associated price tag, I have to conclude that it’s not value for money. Octopus was not cooked properly (rubbery), JohnDory a bit overcooked. But more importantly not wowed by a pallette of flavours in my mouth. On the flip side: location is great with stunning views... View all feedback.
Had lunch there for my 40th birthday with my wife and my 5 yo son : we had a wonderful time, just what I expected for my birthday . The terrace is located in the hotel La Residence de la Pinede so the location and service are perfect, the top notch maître d 'hôtel is superbly seconded by his staff, there really is nothing more to say than perfect when they successfully create a relaxed atmosphere in a 5 location with amazing food. Let 's be clear on something: don 't go there if you 're on a budget because you 'll end up frustrated, you want to chose what you wish to eat and drink not what you can . If we 're ok on this part let 's move forward. That have a formula (95€ with the degustation menu that also includes the loungers on the beach if you wish to enjoy the private beach of the hotel or their pool. We ordered a La carte because we didn 't feel like eating that much and preferred more options for our lunch. A little bummer there : you end up paying more but the loungers are not included so we end up paying 140€ for two of them. We didn 't let this waste our precious stay but it 's not very classy on their part. My son had the pasta (many choices including penne, fettuccine, spaghetti... with bolognese sauce, they 're the BEST I ever tasted and with a 5 yo I 've tasted a lot of them in many locations (including luxurious ones . We shared an entree of smoked salmon and tarama, the salmon was really good, the kind of salmon you expect when they have a real chef orchestrating his kitchen : fresh and delicious. I, then had ravioli filled with ris de veau and foie gras swimming in a sage leaf pool, it was magnificent and I never order foie gras because I don 't enjoy it that much. You have many bread options, we had the fougasse and it was delicious. The champagne list by the glass is amazing : we had Dom Perignon and Krug rosé, definitely pricey but you don 't look at the price when you can get so many options (the sommelier had 5 or 6 options of champagne by the glass for me , you have more classic options too but I was so happy with the ones I had . I was the only one to have desert : a soufflé aux myrtilles with a liqueur de sureau, I was in shock tasting it . We then stayed on the beach and enjoyed the heated pool that was sooo warm after the hotel de Paris 's cold pool. Overall if we forget the bummer of the loungers that are included on the menu but not if you go à la carte and spend a lot more I give them 6 and will definitely come back
We visited La Terrasse for lunch. I want to point out that in the evening this restaurant becomes the highly regarded La Vague D 'Or, which is not the same, though they share the same kitchen and staff. During the day, however, the decor and menu are totally different and decidedly more casual, though still astronomically expensive. The location is fabulous and offers a stunning, serene view of the sea. The service was very polite and attentive, and the food was delicious. We ordered the linguine bolognese, lobster salad, fruit salad, ice cream, and sorbet. My main criticism regards the linguini bolognese, which, though delicious, contained very little meat and resembled more of a marinara. We pointed this out to the server, and, to her credit, she then brought us two additional gravy boats of bolognese sauce. But at these prices, they should not be skimping on the meat in a bolognese sauce.
The place is magical, divine dishes as we hope to have presented or even prepared. We had lunch this time on the terrace and it was a pleasure as the gastronomic restaurant was in a different register but always with great elegance. Friendly and friendly service while being (very) professional, attentive and respectful. A famous mix that encourages well-being.Fively next time!
An idyllic frame and a perfect service! damaging that the midday formula (with the beach) has increased so much last year.
Boarding for our second parenthesis (visit) at the restaurant the terrace of the residence of the pine forest. parenthèse et magic du lieu tout en luxe et discreet, à l'absence de la cohue du centre ville. beautiful cars in the parking lot (do not look, in any case there will always be a bigger one than your), beautiful building, beautiful terrace, beautiful beach, beautiful view, beautiful anti bling bling decor. a haven of peace.Thesis of the ultra professional service that manages all the art of service 5*, held impeccable, tone, efficiency, precision, presence when necessary. brief at the height of the place.Gustative parenthesis. Certainly we are not in the gastronomic version of the residence, but dishes like desserts, without complexity, are good, with well-adjusted flavors and provide you with great sensations. a master's degree in the kitchen. Well, yes, all at a strong price. is this the price of pleasure? has each one to decide. An excellent address without hesitation.
