Sakura Restaurant - Saint Paul

The restaurant sign on the corner of the building has received our attention when we were looking for a place for an early evening meal on a Saturday night. the server were very friendly and we sat very fast. it felt like a very good place to earth. despite a fair number of customers, it was quiet enough to conduct talks and to hear each other without problems. 3 of us (including me) had the combination of bark meat teriyaki and garnelen tempura. for this type of dish it was the best bark that I had in memory. perfect medium rare and very delicate. also the teriyaki itself was very good. also the experienced Japanese eater at my table enjoyed their evening meal. the presentation as well as the aromen were excellent and we all agreed that this was a good choice. If I had lived here, I would come back.

Kind of a hidden gem in downtown St. Paul. My first visit and will definitely be back. We were well taken care of and the menu is really diverse. I tried many new things I hadn't before.

The staff was great! helpful and friendly, they worked as a team for each other. shrimp tempura roll and salmon rolls well, but small. loved the calamari, and spicy mayo dressing had a big taste, and not too spicy. was very surprised how few people were there, the community did not embrace the restaurant. should be a message to the management! find out what they want and what they think about sakura.

This restaurant has an interesting atmosphere. super service our server was extremely fast and brought out everything in time. the rolls were delicious and tasted very fresh.

Okay, late review, but I love this restaurant, it was my first time here with my friends and the service and eating was excellent. I loved her drinks and sushi rolls. the price is somewhat high, but it is understandable for its location and for the quality of food. I will definitely recommend this place to others.
