For a unique lunch between Lascaux 4 and the Caves of St Cristophe you couldn't do better. Our door seating only on the banks of the river. Freshly prepared home style cooking its a limited menu mainly salads and open sandwiches or quiche stlye pies with Dordogne twist. Not recommended for those with bee /wasp allergies as the food can attract them, but its a favourite of our to visit. Canoes available close by too.... View all feedback.
What Veronique W doesn't like about Le Dejeuner sur l'Herbe:
The place we stayed at recommended this restaurant. Well all hot dishes are pre-cooked and heated up. Our quiches were still cold. There are plenty other places to choose from in this beautiful village. View all feedback.
We enjoyed just a short espresso with an apple tart (actually it became two apple tarts ; and were enthused by the high quality of the pastry and the lovely sinple atmosphere close to the river bench.
We have eaten here in previous years and the quality of food has not diminished. The variety of salads are tasty, and the setting is idyllic, by the River Vezere, with a weeping willow tree and a grassy bank by the river. It's a real treat on a sunny day. You can even go swimming.
