We had a 3 course menu gourmand for 25€. Fish soup followed by a salmon fillet with roasted veggies and a steak tartare followed by a raspberry tiramisu . The whole meal was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient and despite it being a very chilly day. The heaters in the outside area were effective and welcoming.Would highly recommend. What Adrian Clark doesn't like about La Goelette:
At Christmas 2015 we enjoyed eating at this restaurant on the harbour front at St Jean Cap Ferrat. We therefore chose it for Christmas Day 2016, and wished we hadn’t.Overall, the food can best be described as average and, at €145 for four of us, greatly overpriced. We had the fried camembert, moules marinieres and fish soup as starters. The main courses were filet de boeuf poivre (which was the only dish that was fin... View all feedback.
Nice food but not better than a lunch in Stockholm. Arrogant staff not even bothering to ask if all is ok. Been waiting now 1 hour for the dessert menu. However fantastic setting in the marina.
My wife often orders Veal Milanese when we dine out, hence somewhat of an expert on this dish. We've just completed our meal at La Goelette and she said this is the best one she's ever had. My gazpacho and steak tartare were both delicious. The service has been very friendly with humour as well. My wife loved her chocolate profiteroles and my tarte tatin was perfect. Lastly, the location directly on the marina with the hills of Beaulieu in the distance completely idyllic on this warm summer evening.
Is there any greater experience then slurping away at a rich carbonara looking out at the boats in the port? This restaurant has become one of my favourites as I seem to like everything on the menu and hence want to try everything on the menu. Whether it's Steak and truffles or Sea bream and Muscles La Goelette delivers a great taste sensation every timeAlso the staff are very nice.A must go to place!
Came here twice in a couple of days. I recommend the 25 euro menu, offering a vast choice of dishes, some of which are rather exclusive for this price. The tartare of coquilles saint jacques is exceptional. We were also quite happy with the oysters and the bouillabaisse with dorade. Last but not least: very friendly and hospitable service. Will definitely come back!
I guess in general my reviews are more critical than others. However this place is ok for dining but nothing special. The salad dressing was more or less not existing, the loup de mer was jot as fresh as the menu was promising. Moreover the preparation of the table and the service-ability lacks in quality compared to other places. However food was good in general and the owner was friendly. I wouldn't recommend this place since there are better ones, but if you end up there don't worry, it will be ok for an evening.
