Had 2 evening meals and a lunch while on holiday for a week. Wonderful food with a great choice. Friendly, helpful staff. The owners, Laurant and Patrice speak fluent English and made us more than welcome , whether it was calling in for a few drinks or an evening meal. What User doesn't like about Le Lion D'or:
I visited the Lion for a family meal during my stay with family in the 'Vendee' region. The service was awful and was a real let down to this local restaurant. We waited around an hour for our food and 30 mins for our drinks of which some the waitress had forgotten about. The waitress was extremely rude and unfriendly. Bad reception. Port of the obligatory mask while the law no longer requires it. If you want wine, you have to go to the bar with the boss, if you don't want anything, you're well served. Fjckn
I discovered this restaurant this day thanks to my father who comes from 2 to 3 times a year. Very good restaurant, quality meat. To be recommended

A fabulous restaurant with friendly staff and excellent cuisine. Very accommodating to us English impatient and excellent value for money as well.
