Salernos On The Fox - Saint Charles

Food was ok but for the price…well…a bit on the pricey side. Our pizza was burnt and the cheese was hard. Very skimpy on the toppings. Service was ok…I would not recommend going here unless you are willing to pay for ok food. Maybe it was just a bad night for the restaurant but this might be our last time going here. The cheese garlic bread was good and so was the house salad.

We went here for dinner and sat inside. The space has beautiful views of the lake. Soup, salad and bread was good. Entrees took entirely too long and when the pizza and pasta arrived it was flavorless and soggy. It was just about the worst pizza I've ever had. I thought about it after our meal and just about gagged. For dessert, Our table ordered cappuccinos which tasted like something from a hotel lobby breakfast and dessert was small and tasteless as well. The server was very nice and I could tell he was stressed by the amount of tables he had to maintain so I feel bad for them. My advice: focus on fresh, quality ingredients and cooking techniques. Invest in your restaurant and don't rely on just the nice views. Treat your service staff better.

Table view of the river was nice. Service was good. Pizza crust was dry and tough..hard to eat. Would still go back to give food another chance as it could have been an off night for their cook or my taste buds.

Basically waited 3 hours for our main courses. By the time I got my salmon, it was over cooked and my husband had said it seemed like it was sitting under a heat lamp. I was told twice that they don't use heat lamps even though I wasn't the one who said it. I sent my food back and by the time I got it back our table was putting their coats on. I quickly put a fork in it to test it and said it was fine. When I got home to eat, the inside was raw and I had to finish cooking it on a pan. It still didn't taste right.

Excellent pizza. Pleasant staff very accommodating and cordial. Enjoy dinning there always. Can't go wrong.
