L'Auberge de la Vallee

After several months of shutdown in Asia, this was quite an experience. Always check the dish of the day, the grilled sardines, to perfected, and try their house cocktail.

Visited today for lunch on the front terrace as we had our dog with us. Wife had the lunch special of porc ribs and chips, I had the chicken and chips....both excellent basic meals, served by very friendly waitress. Desserts (Tart Tatin and caramelized raspberries) were also excellent. A half pitcher of house cider at 14€ was a bit expensive, but very tasty!!

Looking forward to a evening meal at this restaurant only to be very disappointed. If you like overpriced average food and enjoy scrutinizing your bill before leaving because of overcharging then this is the restaurant for you! I have never written a bad review before.

Very pleasant and they were very accommodating to help us with English/French translation. Good servings with cheap drinks. Recommend the Burger excellent!! Go for the red meat options that seem to be their specialty. We stayed there for a relaxed lunch and drinks and enjoyed our meals. If you're here, you should stop.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. Amazing food, we had nice beef and some traditional Normandy dishes, everything was perfect and actually it was the best beef we tried! And this is not the only highlight of this place, the service was incredible! The cook was beautiful, he came to us and explained everything about every single dish, his English is perfect: he recommended us the best things in the menu and was really friendly and patient with us not able to read French. You can say he is really passionate about cooking! (It's a shame we didn't get his name. The service was generally amazing! We would like to come back a day and we will definitely recommend it to all those who travel to France: Thank you!
