Absolutely excellent food. We ordered the Gumbo and the gator, both were fabulous, we were hoping to stop in again before leaving town but we didn't get a chance. Hope to come back some day and try more menu options. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 View all feedback.
What Mary LeBourgeois dislikes about Charlie's Diner:
It was 8:30 on Monday evening when we called to make sure they were still serving. They assured us they would be serving until 9:00. We arrived at 8:45 and was told they could not serve us because the kitchen was closed. I said we called ahead of time and asked if they would serve us at 8:45. We were told yes. But they said it was a new person on the phone so she didn't know better. Bottom line it was our 48 annivers... View all feedback.
As city dwellers, we found this place near the fish camp to be a wonderful find. The food is excellent, and the service is top-notch. There’s plenty for more than one person to share. The atmosphere is very welcoming, making it feel like home. Highly recommend!
We had a great experience. Josh was a good server, very attentive. He told us about their specials and we actually took him up on both, along with a cup of gumbo! Yum! We paid with credit card so they do accept them. Thank you for your southern hospitality!
The food here was great. Our server was very attentive and helpful with her suggestions. The seafood platter is worth the price. The crab was amazing. We tried the alligator sausage and it was very tasty. I could see myself ordering that in the future. We went here on the recommendation from a fishing buddy. Glad we took the advice!
I don't typically like fried seafood, but the seafood boat was awesome. Our waitress wasn't the most knowledgeable but very sweet and didn't mind going the mile to get the answer. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because the atmosphere was a bit gloomy.
