We enjoyed a fantastic lunch with friends at La Cocina Mexican Restaurant! The service was attentive, and both the food and drinks were outstanding. I ordered the Black Bean Tacos, while my wife tried the veggie empanadas. We really appreciated the cute little toothpick flags! Overall, the food and service were superb! Second time we have eaten here. First time was good and the service was awesome. The second, not so much. The male staff were all acting angry and were not interested in representing their restaurant the way they should have been. We spent more than a couple hundred bucks this go round and I had a really hard time leaving a tip. Horrible service. Take some advice, if you don't like your job, go find another one. Rest... If you want authentic Mexican food you do not have to leave the USA just come here and experience it!!! Friendly and attentive staff goes beyond to make your dining pleasurable!!! Definitely an A love this place!!!!
Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in St. Augustine! Friendly staff, fabulous food! The ceviche is amazing, the Mexican salad and carnitas is so good too, and the chimichanga man on man it's good! Give them a try and you'll see why they are the best!!!
Best restaurant where everything is freshly prepared and have that homemade style and taste. I usually don't eat fish in a restaurant, but I just ate the Veracruz style red snapper, and has been the best dish I ever had in the Jacksonville/ St Augustine area!
Hands down some of the best Mexican food I've had in years! Definitely will be coming back next time I'm in St. Augustine!
We went for a birthday dinner the staff was very friendly, food was good and they suprised our birthday girl with a nice dessert plate and birthday song
