Sorrentino's Bistro-Bar - Saint Albert

We booked the private room for a anniversary celebration. We had 17 guest and everything was just perfect. We had decided on a set menu and couldn't have been happier. The presentation of the food was amazing, the plates and the food were extremely hot, which is unusual for that many guests. Very nice atmosphere and service was top notch. We all enjoyed our time at this well managed Sorrentino's.

The service was so bad that I can't tell you how the food was as we never got to try it.We were waited on immediately -so we thought great -we picked the right spot! But that was it-the waitress brought us our drinks and we placed our food order, then a gentleman came over to make sure a waitress had been over to us-which we replied she had and thanks for checking-them wham! That was it! Never saw the waitress again! After 30 minutes we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. We found the gentlemen to tell him such and he said he would see we got our food right away-(which by the way was only a bowl of soup and some appetizers). We replied no-it was too late as we had to catch a flight and we left. The gentleman was concerned and offered to pay for our drinks -but too late -they had wasted our precious time! Very annoying-will not go back again!

Service was a little slow but very friendly. We had a large group and some meals were hot and some were lukewarm. Chicken parm was very good - lasagna not so good. Overall just an o.k Meal. Have been here in the past and it was a lot better - probably wont't go back again.

Decided to check this place out as a recommendation. We waited approximately 4 minutes to be seated as no one greeted us. Service and food was good, however, a bit pricey for the portions.

Pasta is made from box you can do yourself at home. Only safe item on the menu to order is steak sandwich with fries. I know for a Italian restaurant with a strong history in Italian cuisine it is disappointing. Nothing is home made and nothing has quality ingredients or spices. I would go to Buco instead. They also got rid of the happy our menu. Sorry this location on quick slide into oblivion. I hope they can turn it around. The patio is horrible with all the rocks thrown from vehicles on St. Albert trail
