Pho Ga Hung - Sahibabad

A subtle bun rieu from Northern part of Viet Nam. Nice broth with crab/egg ball, rau muong (similar to spinach) and tofu. Tasty and full of texture. Comes with tea and spices to bring out the flavors.

I have been coming here to eat with my family for the last 30 years. Same owner, same great food, competitive pricing. Still the best in San Jose to me. God bless this pace. The best canh bun, best pho pa, best pho Bo, best bun rieu. I love everything here.

Food was quite expensive. They only accept cash. Don't get the porridge, not worth it. It's not good and it's not worth of money. Only their Bun rieu rau muon is good.

The reviews for here raved about the Canh Bun Rau Muong $15), so we decided to give it a try. It seems to be a variation of the Bun Rieu crab noodle soup) except this one has a thicker noodle and rau muong water spinach) cooked in the broth. The broth was super flavorful and tasted lighter than Bun Rieu's. The noodles were cooked well with the perfect amount of firmness and chewiness. There was also a good amount of fried tofu and crab balls in the dish. I would definitely come back here if I'm ever craving a solid bowl of noodle soup!

I was surprised how tasty the chicken pho was: rich, satisfying broth with fresh, tasty chicken bits accompanied by all the usual fixings. I even enjoyed the (optional) liver and chicken skin latter had a pleasantly chewy texture. Perfect comfort food for a cold, rainy day.
