chirashi Deluxe was great, fresh sashimi of chef's pick and great amount of rice?.Vanessa Madness is really a madness with spicy tuna and lemon apple in it. That's a crazy combination.Food: 4/5 View all feedback.
A hidden gem in sac for sushi. The staff is phenomenal, the fish is fresh, and when you cut them loose and let them throw together a meal of their choosing you will not be disappointed.Food: 5/5
We had a reservation for 7:30 on a Thursday night and we still had to wait for about 30 mins to get seated. The restaurant is small so there's not that many tables and I think they're still shortstaffed. We ordered the bbq albacore, scallop wraps (so good), baby calamari (really good), otoro (perfect amount of fat and it just melts in your mouth) and at least 8 different rolls. They were all good but after awhile they all tasted similar.

Stopped by for lunch. The Udom and Ramen were super delicious. The broth was some of the best I've tasted. The tempura was ever so slightly sweet and flavorful.Loved the crab stuffed mushrooms. We also got dessert. I totally recommend the tempura cheesecake which comes with green tea ice cream.Everyone at our table loved everything they ordered. We will definitely be back
The flavor, presentation, and quality of ingredients at Ju Hachi Japanese Cuisine was not commensurate with the menu price. While the quality of the food left much to be desired, the quality of service was adequate overall.Ordered:California rollSpicy tuna roll,Chef's special 10pc nigiriFlavor:The spicy tuna roll's filling was more chili sauce than fish that left an overpowering flavor strong enough where I could not even taste the fish. The filling looked like, felt like, and tasted almost as if it was entirely made of samjang (korean chili paste) instead of tuna.Several key aspects were missing from the sushi rice. The rice was too soft and broke apart too easily making it hard to grab the sushi with chopsticks. The nigiri lacked structural integrity. Moreover, the sushi rice seemed to lack the characteristic rice vingear taste. The quality of the ingredients heavily detracted from the product overall, leaving a one-dimensional flavor to the sushi that one might expect with gas station or grocery store sushi.Presentation:My initial observation of the restaurant is that the table I sat at was sticky. I also couldn't help but notice that there were tubs of sushi ginger on display on the side.I felt that the spicy tuna roll cuts were wildly inconsistent in size and shape, leading me to call into question the lack of attention to detail at this restaurant.Service:Our waitress was responsive and polite.
