We had lunch while walking along the river. The food was decent but somewhat basic for a £10 sandwich. Adding more chips and vegetables wouldn't be too costly but might entice customers to return. The cozy interior and beautiful views out the window added to the dining experience. The pricing of the food seemed a bit high - it would make more sense to either charge £7 for a sandwich or £10 with additional sides. Serv... View all feedback.
What Sean Hunt doesn't like about The Swan:
I am a local of over 20 years. Although the beer is expensive for the area £7.00 for Peroni) I have have frequented the Swan regularly. It has a nice atmosphere and lovely outlook over the river. HOWEVER, I stopped in today to have a pint and watch the football. To my surprise it wasn 't on. When I asked the barman why it wasn 't, he replied we don 't have sky sport anymore . It is too expensive . That is rich coming... View all feedback.
There is a magnificent view of the river and the environment, so it is probably best to use this pub in summer. At night, the lights on the other side of the river reflect the water, and it makes sitting outside the wan a beautiful experience. the inner has a bit character, actually the floor even falls down at a point.
I've never been there for dinner, but in the summer it's great to go for a drink and sit at the river. it is often much easier to get a table compared to the slug and lettuce opposite.

The staff at this restaurant were friendly and had a good sense of humor. The venue itself was beautiful. If the drinks had been complimentary, it would have been a flawless experience.
I have visited The Swan Hotel on numerous occasions, and my recent stay was exceptional. The room was large and cozy, and the shower was in good working condition. The food and drinks at the restaurant were top-notch. The breakfast was freshly made, and the dinner menu offered a variety of tasty options. I particularly enjoyed the schnitzel with Caesar salad, paired with their delicious triple-cooked chips. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its fantastic rooms, excellent service, and unbeatable location with great views. It truly offers great value for a memorable stay.
