View all feedback.
What Robert S doesn't like about Jakobusklause:
After being out for the day in Bingen, we decided to visit Jakobusklause, a few minutes from our hotel. As it was a chilly evening we asked if we could sit inside. We did, but had to share the table with 3 other people. We were supplied with the menus, and asked what we wished to drink. We selected glasses of white wine and ordered Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce Boiled Potatoes, and Pork Schnitzel with chips (far t... View all feedback.
Best Schnitzel in Rudescheim! Just stopped while at the Christmas Markets. Recommendation from one of the local vendors. Excellent service and a very quaint and local feel. Exactly what we were looking for!
We were struggling to have a decent meal in Bingen, then arrived here and Wow!! Great decor inside, not very expensive for the quality of food and wine
What a great little find this was in Ruedesheim. Stopped in for lunch one day and had the Goulash soup it was terrific. Enjoyed a couple of beers also and enjoyed being out of the cold in a warm and friendly environment. We enjoyed it so much that I came back here for dinner with my parents the following night. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner food and drinks, Staff warm and pleasant given our lack of German language. Great spot and I highly recommend for an authentic time.
My wife and I came to Rudesheim on a Viking cruise. We've been disappointed by the food on board so we went in search of a good meal with local ingredients. Rudesheim is full of tourist restaurants and I found it difficult to tell which reviews were trustworthy. We are SO GLAD we chose Jakobusklause! We each had a seasonal special with the famous local white asparagus in traditional German dishes. Both were excellent. Our server was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English without condescension. We asked her to choose a wine for us and she chose a lovely riesling from Rudesheim. The only sound was town noise, quiet conversation, and birds (including cuckoos). I can recommend this place without hesitation.
Leckeres Essen! Liebes Personal ! Das Schnitzel mit Meerrettich ist einzigartig und das beste im Rheingau !
