the place I originally wanted to go was closed so I landed here and I am glad I did. eating is expensive, but it was amazing and the service was 5 stars. the portions are not great, so I recommend to take at least one 3 cursor meal of them really hungry. they have a seasonal menu and the chef is very kreatiw when it comes to food allergies. What Maja T doesn't like about Oliva B.v. Rotterdam:
Small and cosy restaurant. The food is good and the staff friendly what lowers my rating is value for money. The menu is priced like some of the local Michelin or just below Michelin establishments, while not meeting the same standards. Great for a one time try, but in all honesty I will probably not return. View all feedback.
Delicious food and great staff! will definitely go back!
We had an excellent 4-course surprise menu with a group of colleagues. delicious food and wine and friendly service with a good sense of humor
On one of Rotterdam's coolest streets, across from more casual Bazar, Oliva a first-rate Italian restaurant. Fresh, natural ingredients. Fabulous and friendly service. Beautiful dining room. Ate here twice in the course of a fairly brief visit. Wish it was in Chicago!
Food was outstanding and the house red wine was good as well. Portions, I thought, were plentiful. I highly recommend this place for dinner but be sure to make reservations of you plan on eating there on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
Oliva is a great restaurant and one of our favourites in Rotterdam. It's reliable, and there is always something tasty on the short menu. All dishes are made with seasonal ingredients and produce. I tend to stick to the seafood options and avoid the beef as I think there are better places to eat steak in Rotterdam. Deserts are good too, especially the ice creams and sorbets! They serve a good selection of wines but I typically stick to the house wines as they are good value IMHO. I think that for Netherlands standards the pricing is reasonable (around €18 25 for a main course al la carte). The surprise menus are worth a role of the dice too (you can specify ingredients that you don't like or can't eat). Making a reservation is recommended especially Thursday Sunday.
