Contribute FeedbackStoney River offers a varied dining experience that has left patrons with mixed feelings. While many have praised the quality of the steaks and the attentive service, others have expressed disappointment regarding inconsistencies in food preparation and escalating prices. Diners noted issues like overcooked dishes and a noisy atmosphere, but appreciated management's efforts to address concerns. Highlights included the enticing steak rolls and a standout Legendary Filet, though some found certain appetizers lacking. Overall, while many enjoyed their meals and plan to return, others remain hesitant, weighing quality against cost.
We didn't stay for the meal after noticing a slug on the wall behind my wife's shoulder within seconds of sitting down. The hostess gave me a coffee filter to remove it, but we decided to leave. A waiter or possibly a manager approached us and made light of the situation, explaining that the booth we were seated at had a slug problem that the restaurant had not fixed. There were other available booths and tables, so we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Despite my wife's recommendation, we will not be returning to Stoneys or recommending it to others. They would receive less than one star if possible.
The food and service at this restaurant were fantastic. They made us feel like VIPs as we celebrated our anniversary. The lobster bisque was deliciously creamy and flavorful, and the rolls were exceptional. My wife enjoyed the perfectly cooked tuna and tasty rice. However, the spinach could have been better if the stems were removed. I tried the coffee and molasses spiced filet, which was a bit too sweet for my liking but cooked perfectly. The Au gratin potatoes were heavenly. We definitely plan to return to this restaurant multiple times in the future.
We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. We were seated immediately and our drinks and appetizers arrived quickly. The salads were generous in size, and we enjoyed splitting one. We also appreciated the discount on salads when ordered with an entree. The steaks were delicious - I had the coffee marinade filet and my wife had the regular filet. We shared a baked potato and a basket of tasty, seasoned fries. The service was attentive but not rushed, and we were able to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. We were in and out in an hour, which was perfect for us. Overall, we preferred this dining experience over our friends' experience at a fancier restaurant, Marcel, where they spent twice as much.
We have made reservations at Stoney River many times for our anniversary – we were not disappointed. It was fantastic!
We did not end up staying for our meal because within ten seconds of sitting down at our table, I noticed a slug on the wall behind my wifeâs shoulder. The hostess gave me a coffee filter to remove it and we then decided to leave. A waiter or possibly a manager, Iâm not sure since he did not introduce himself, came over and started joking about the slug trying to lighten up the mood I guess. He then went on to explain that the booth we were seated at has a slug problem and itâs been ongoing for sometime. There were several open booths and tables, so why sit us there if itâs an ongoing problem that the restaurant refuses to fix? Safe to say we immediately left and went elsewhere to eat. I was disappointed since my wife highly recommended this place and I had never been before, but after our experience we will not return to Stoneys or recommend anyone to eat there Would give less than one star if possible.
