Service by everyone, especially our server Anna was the best it's been even on a busy night. Steaks were excellent, sides were mostly good. Mushroom could have been cooked longer and didn't love the current version of the calamari appetizer. Potatoes and broccolini delicious. Chocolate cake wonderful. Again we come for the steaks and service and we will thrilled with the same. View all feedback.
What Kathy Strehle doesn't like about Baldamar:
The food was just okay, nothing too tasty. The pasta had a tasteless sauce, the salad had few ingredients and the prime rib was only rare. I asked for medium and he gave me a raw piece. The desserts were pretty, but very little flavor. Not going back anytime soon. View all feedback.
Baldamar's food was excellent. The shrimp and bread appetizers were a real treat! All of our main courses were also delicious!
Baldamar was excellent! Michael and Tracy provided excellent service! Food was delicious!
Had a great anniversary dinner at Baldemar. Try the grilled artichoke side amazing! Everything (bread flight, wedge salad, short rib, sea bass, pumpkin cheesecake) was really delicious, April our server was one of the best ever and even though prices have gone up, we were pleasantly surprised with the value. It was worth it.
I've been to Baldamar many times, and normally it's terrific. This visit was definitely different. The service was great, but the food and drink quality was a large step down. from pervious visits. Between the group, we tried their Manhattan, an old fashioned, and two vodka martinis. The first two were good, but the martinis were mediocre. I had a Caesar salad to start, and the dressing lacked much flavor at all. The sea bass (for the main dinner course) was terrific, but the veggies that accompanied the fish were not impressive at all. One person at our table ordered a side of asparagus, and it was very woody and did not seem to be seasoned at all. Dessert was a coconut chocolate ice cream concoction, and it was impressive. Overall, for a 4 person dinner that topped $500, I was expecting better.
The food was a little off. We've dined there several times and food was much better. Too much salt in beer cheese soup then a salty breadstick was served in the soup. Caesar salad was rather spicy.
