We were looking forward to a nice dinner, but it was quite disappointing. It started off with just two servers, and we had to actively get their attention before they came to take our order. When our food finally arrived, it was lukewarm and the portions were quite small. The Kung Pao chicken lacked both the paprika and a good swirl of flavor. Additionally, all the dishes were overly salty, leaving our mouths feeling dry—perhaps due to MSG? If you enjoy salty food or don’t mind MSG, then you might find these dishes appealing.
They offer authentic Shanghainese cuisine, which is incredibly flavorful. The service is excellent, and the Chilean sea bass is particularly delicious!
It may not look like much, but this is truly authentic Shanghainese cuisine. I will definitely be visiting again!
3.5 stars which is stellar in the sgv. Reviewers around this area are just plain hard to please which is why it is quite hard to go by reviews in the sgv. This unassuming and quaintly named restaurant serves up some awesome Shanghainese fare. There were some missing classic dishes like the seaweed fried fish but most of dishes were exceptional enough we can certainly overlook a slight deficiency.
The place serves large portions and for convenient prices. very nice employees. Fantastic work.
