This was our first visit in last 10 years. It is still fantastic, quite, neat, warm and friendly employees. We ordered three dishes, every each of them deserves a 5 star. View all feedback.
What Houston Haag doesn't like about China Islamic:
The food at this restaurant did not live up to the delicious and well-cooked standards of previous years, such as 2018 and 2019. Despite being full of customers when we arrived, by the time we left it was almost empty. With only one server, the quality of food suffered. View all feedback.
For the Northern School, known for its eclectic mix of dishes from the palace kitchens of Shandong province to Muslim and Mongolian influences, I chose China Islamic in Rosemead. I selected dishes with the help of the staff to experience the essence of Northern Chinese cuisine. During our meal, we tried 12 dishes, including the Dabing, a thick sesame and green onion pancake. While I found the Dabing to be too doughy for my taste, the other dishes were quite enjoyable. Highlights included lamb with green onions, beef with pickled cabbage, and dried shrimps with green beans. The Three Flavor Chow Mein, hand-cut noodles with a chewy texture, stood out as well. The oxtail in brown sauce was a standout dish, with a rich, smoky, and slightly sweet flavor. The lamb in a warm pot bowl with flavorful broth and tender meat was also a comforting dish. Overall, the meat dishes at China Islamic were expertly cooked and full of flavor. My experience at China Islamic was so enjoyable that I returned for a second visit, where the quality of the food remained consistently excellent. I highly recommend China Islamic for anyone looking to explore authentic Northern Chinese cuisine.

I recently visited this restaurant during the long weekend. The Chinese food was authentic, absolutely delicious, and HALAL. Despite being short-staffed, we had to wait about 45 minutes for our food. When it arrived, it was fresh and hot. Unfortunately, we forgot to take pictures. We ordered three types of fried rice (chicken, beef, and shrimp combo), three types of chow mein, Sesame Chicken, and Mongolian Beef. Everything tasted great. I would definitely recommend this place.
I think they change property, very disappointed! not as expected. The dishes are very different from other Chinese Islamic, with the same Chinese name I tried in other cities! If you are trying to find other restaurants like in North Cal Bay Area than you will know the difference!
The coveted hole-in-the-wall type of Restauraunt, this place serves savory and Halal friendly Chinese dishes that are sure to catch your attention. Their dishes are also quite cheap, especially because they are served in generous portions.
