I had an excellent dining experience with great prices. I really appreciated the generous portions. I think it's fantastic that they can come to Western Australia, as the local pubs here really showcase the delicious meals and offer a variety of options for everyone. View all feedback.
What Briggs Jourdan doesn't like about Great Western Grill:
I ordered the chicken schnitzel with chips and gravy. It was typical pub fare, but unfortunately, the chicken was a bit lacking in quality, and the chips were slightly undercooked. View all feedback.
It was our first time visiting this place. We ordered the sisig, bbq, fish balls and ice tea. The sisig was so burnt that most of the dish was black. We couldn’t taste anything but the burnt stuff from the sizzling plate that got stuck on the food and was very hard to finish. Moreover, the fish balls had a weird taste to it and the ice tea had more volume of ice than the liquid drink itself and was unpleasant to drink. I think it would be better if they filled it with block ice instead just so the ice wouldn’t go up on our throat as well. The only thing that tasted nice was the bbq and the rice. It tasted different to other traditional barbecues I’ve had, but still tasted alright. The girl at the cashier is friendly, so I guess that’s also something positive about this place.Overall, it was a disappointing experience for me and my family. We were really looking forward to eating here because we saw their ad at TFC and the food looked absolutely delicious, but that was not the case. Maybe the cook’s having a bad day, I don’t know, but one thing’s for sure: we are never coming back here.
My wife and myself went to Great Western Grill during lunch time today,18/11/18. we purchased some take away and were surprised to see that some of the chairs has got bird poo that cascaded on the back rest of the chairs. We waited for about 20 mins to get our order and were disappointed with the size of the $25 crispy pata that we ordered. We paid $30 dollars as we were told that there was a price adjustment recently, but we did not see any changes done on the menu board as we left the joint. There were no credit card facility to expedite the pay transaction and we also found out that some of the skin of the crispy pata were not in anyway crispy!!! We are very disappointed with the presentation and hygiene of the venue and also with the poor quality of food and will not be recommending this resto to anyone!!!
SERVICE is at it 's best. Smiles everywhere. Very refreshing from your Filipino norm. Our meals came out super fast. Though we were there first and I believe our party pre ordered some stuff. SPACE usability is on par to cater for many but not cramped DRINKS can 't go wrong being side by side with an 1820s newly renovated local pub. Everything taste even nicer with beer! FOOD great serving sizes; appealing to the eyes on the plate; on a heavy SALTY side with some msg after effect on us, though. Question: Can we actually order to taste and request less salt ?
Great people and service was excellent Food is yummy! :
Had the steak and chips. Steak was good but the chips were fantastic. Thick cut and so crispy. Next time I think I'll try the Filipino food.UpdateWent here again and tried the crispy pata. SO GOOD! Best crispy pata I've ever had. You can call ahead so that it will be ready by the time you get there.
