Service was friendly, food was great! We got the fried artichoke (a must), bucatini amatriciana (one of my favorite dishes of our trip), and fettuccine al ragu. All the food was amazing along with the history of the area. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! View all feedback.
What Fr T doesn't like about Giggetto Al Portico D'ottavia:
Came recommended but if your American they stick you in the American section lmao never been to a restaurant that had an American section. The Italians sit up front the Americans sit in the back. At the end of the meal I told the waiter in Italian that my meal was mediocre at best and that I could make better pasta. He then said you speak good Italian and brought me out a different dish of pasta which was great. But... View all feedback.

Always an amazing meal and great service! Dined here two summers in a row (2022 2023) when spending time in Roma before or after our vacation cruises.
Very characteristic location that looks directly on the porch, eaten quite well, compared to other very well known premises in Rome the artichoke to the jacket too unto, for our tastes, good matriciana , tasteful zucca flowers and supplì. good food even if in the whole expectations were not met completely.

So be aware if you speak English you will get put in the back and served different food then the Italians.
Food is good. But the service is the worst we had during our stay in Rome. Waiter was absolutely terrible.
