La Hoya Mexican - Rohnert Park

The owners of this restaurant are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They serve fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine daily and are also available for catering events. I highly recommend dining here.

After a long drive from San Bernardino (originating in Houston two days ago, with my son arriving in Petaluma for Coast Guard training), we stopped in at La Hoya and found it to be a welcoming sight after days of travel. The salsa, service, and food were all fantastic!

Sweet staff and pleasant vibe, but the food I ordered for takeout was (perhaps very accidentally? incredibly over salted. I couldn't finish the tacos and had to toss them. I had another family member taste them too, just to be sure it wasn't a mouth hallucination. I'm not picky and I love salt, so this was a pretty extreme over salting. Perhaps this was just a kitchen mistake I will likely give them another chance.
