Old staff are all gone, what seems to be new management. So this is a re-review on my old one. Cannot fault the food, price and customer service. Back to how it used to be, couldn't recommended higher. Very happy my favourite sushi place is back! You get what you pay for, and I will happily pay more for amazing food and service. What User doesn't like about Shinobu Sushi Bar:
I would spend EASILY $100 a week here as I work in the centre and would have lunch here everyday. Then new owners took over and the service is appalling, they won't prepare things on the menu for you if it's not on the train. The old owners used to have the most OUTSTANDING customer service hence why I would be there everyday. I refuse to step foot back in the place. After numerous times being treated rudely. This sushi train is as good as the ones at the Gold Coast. You know you are going to get fresh and the variety is amazing. This shop is always busy and is open all the time. Love the food. Only down fall is no...eftpos but cash only. You will need to get cash out before you dine here. Totally enjoy every time I eat here and the service is great.
This place is great, has fresh variety of sushi, if not on the train they will make it for you with no hesitation. Bento boxes, noodles, soups, sushi, fruit. Every time I have been there always busy. Staff are very friendly and will assist with...any requests. If you love Sushi and want a variety I would recommend you visit this place.
During a recent visit to Rockhampton to spend the holidays with family, we decided to grab a bite to eat after a busy morning of shopping. We stumbled upon a quiet sushi train and being sushi lovers, we thought it would be a good choice. However, we were disappointed with the quality of the sushi. The rice was not seasoned properly and lacked flavor, unlike the sushi we usually enjoy on the Gold or Tweed Coast. Although the train was well stocked, there is definitely room for improvement in terms of taste and variety. Additionally, we were surprised to find out that the restaurant only accepted payment via card and did not offer any soup upon arrival. The lack of condiments like wasabi mayo also left us wanting more. The service was lackluster and we did not receive the usual warm Japanese hospitality we are accustomed to. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was a disappointment.
This restaurant offers delicious food at a reasonable price. You have the option to either choose food from the train or order from the menu. The service is exceptional and the staff will do their best to assist you. I highly recommend visiting if you are in Rockhampton.
The whole family love this place they have a diverse variety of sushi that caters for the most adventurous pallet to the stick to what you know' kind of preferences. Having a sushi train assisted us in introducing the kids to sushi is...fun too. The service is impeccable the staff are always friendly. They will cater to specific needs and do their best to ensure you enjoy your experience. Note they are CASH ONLY no eftpos
