Capital House - Rockford

Great location. Fun host. Forgetful but sweet server. Friendly staff. Big cook. Great food... Ahi, filled mushrooms, lake bass, cod, squid, potatoes, rice, dinner rolls and last but certainly not least.. the chocolate cake. Yum to all this. Odd carpet placement in the women bathroom stands, though. We still shake our heads over it.

Excellent food! The sauces are all perfect! Our waiter was phenomenal and the drink choices were abundant! It’s a go to spot now!

We started off w/ a Martini and **** Mary. Both were delicious. Our waiter (Josh) knew the menu well and told us what his favorite items were. We ordered shrimp cocktail for appetizer (they are huge). Dinner- pork chops and scallops. The scallops were cooked perfect, the pork chop was full of fat and not worth the price. Ordered a Margarita and less than stellar and small for the $9 price. Dessert- only option we were given was cheesecake and Josh told us not worth the $7. We would try again and stick to the seafood only options instead of the pork chops.

The seafood was excellent. The service was very prompt, Nick did a great job. Enjoy the atmosphere and the music.

We were promptly greeted with a smile and we’re able to move our table to the upper level. Service was great. We’d definitely eat here again.
