Came here for a family Sunday lunch and was quite surprised. Lots of tasty items on the menu and a great range of food for all tastes. Steak, burger, fish and chips and pate were tasty and good value. View all feedback.

Don’t bother. I’ve been here a few times and super hyped and over rated. We tried to get takeaway drinks on a Sunday night and was met with tough luck at 8:06pm. Who closes at 8:06pm on a Sunday??? Other than that burger and chips super average and super expensive for what it is. Menu apparently has a celeb chef surcharge
I popped in here for trivia one Tuesday night with a couple of friends, we arrived early for a meal and tried a few different dishes, sharing a bit of each. As simple as it seemed, what we had was delicious. I personally went for the sausages and mash with gravy, the others had the pork sausage roll and the pot pie special with a chocolate brownie to finish. The prices are a little higher than I would expect at a pub like this, but it was worth it. I've had many a sausages and mash with gravy dish when I lived in the UK and this rivals it as one of the tastiest. Bit of a shame the tap beers on offer were just the average lager/ale slosh, with maybe 1 or 2 half decent ones. I didn't know who Colin Fassnidge was, found out he is some reality TV star who also cooks, but if this is the type of menu he has put together then I was pleasantly surprised.
An older building, in contrast to the newer car park-focused Rocksia across the road, but looks pretty similar inside. Very similar prices but at least they disclose the high card surcharge. The pokie room is less prominent, although large. There's a little deck off the bistro, which is good as no smoking allowed.
Service was slower than usual and it was a long wait for our mains but mainly due to the number of patrons and did not detract from the experience. My steak was cooked to order medium rare and the mushroom sauce was excellent. The mash was a bit of a let down and lacked some flavour. The kingfish with lavish was ok but the kingfish flavour was lost a little amongst the other flavours so it wasn't distinctive. Can't beat the value or selection.
