I like this whole chain! Kirby's Koney's serve the best hot dogs which is the beginning of a coney. I know they serve Kogel's natural casing hotdogs topped with beanless chili with the right amount of mustard and onions. During July they always have a special. The staff are very attentive and the place is always clean.Food: 4/5 View all feedback.
What Jeff C doesn't like about Kerby's Koney Island:
Used to be a great breakfast stop. Now it's just not very good. The hash browns were burnt for my son and barely cooked for me. They had a weird taste to them like the oil was really old or the grill was never cleaned. Even the coney dogs are horrible now. Please reinvest in the quality of your food and preparation. I used to love this restaurant. View all feedback.
Horrible. Could not order online. Dry and broken bun. Hardly any mustard. Koney fries has hardly any chili on them. Hotdogs are OLD. Went to get new ones, and they blamed me! Said it was because I ordered take out so when I got home they were not fresh. Mind you, I live 2 minutes away! Legit 2 mins away!!! JUST DONT GO TO THIS ONE! There are better ones out there and near this one!!
Coneys were served at room temperature with barely enough onions for half of one dog.. Please train the cooks how to serve HOT DOGS.
Love the kerby melt with grilled chicken instead of chicken tenders and an order of fries. The only thing I order from here now. It's a good deal for about 10 bucks.
Not good. The sausage was cold, the bacon was cold AND rubbery, undercooked. My eggs tasted like they had pancake batter in them. The inside was very clean, but breakfast was not good.
I would love to eat at Kerby's on a regular basis. Unfortunately, I cannot because their menu does not include hearty vegan options. Vegan protein dishes would be appreciated by customers who are concerned about animal welfare, who have dietary restrictions, and/or who need to reduce their cholesterol intake. Plant-based hot dogs and chili exist and would make vegan Coney dogs an easy addition to the menu. Vegan chili fries would also be a great Detroit treat!
