so they should always leave roc ramen. I had the spicy mists and bark dumplings. the suppe was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of warmth. the noodles were as big. I made myself feel so happy because I felt so good after such a wonderful meal. I had to stop ordering seconds. so unnecessary to say, I recommend roc city ramen. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Roc City Ramen Featuring Goode Times Cafe:
Nothing spectacular I wish I had liked the food more because the restaurant had a nice vibe! We had the shio and tonkotsu ramen, the killer shrimp sushi roll, fried rice, and the pork gyoza. The food was good, but not great. It was honestly kind of bland, especially the sushi. I wish the ramen had more broth and less noodles. Fair prices. The staff were very nice though!! Ordered on Uber eats. I tonkotsu ramen with 2 extra portions of pork, and I ended an egg. It was on the salty side (it’s supposed to be salty, I know. It didn’t bother me personally, but if you are sensitive to salt, beware. I also added an egg. The broth was very rich, especially with the egg. The pork was tender and had that perfect grilled/charred flavor.
We were in Rochester visiting family and decided to go here for lunch as it looked interesting. As soon as we walk in we're lost as to how this place operates. Do you sit down and they come take your order? Is there a designated place to order? Not very clear. We ask one of the cooks for instructions and she looks at us like we're the dumbest people on the planet for not knowing that to to order you have to go the till, even though there is no where that shas hey order here. The food was decent, but not mind blowing. 2.5 stars.
First time coming to this establishment! Will definitely come back. The owner is very nice and helpful. Kitchen is really clean. And the food! It’s so fresh and flavorful.Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian and vegan options.
The food was really good for the price! I had the beef curry and it was some of the best Japanese style curry in the area! Beef was tender and the roux was sweet but savory. Portions are Generous! Dining in is tiny but if there's space, a small group of friends is perfect to bring!
Excellent service from the owner himself including info about the recipes, which was extra-special! The food was amazing and he even accommodated a picky eater in our group. He let her sample before ordering too! The only thing that I held back a star for is the atmosphere. I totally did not realize that it 's not really a sit-down place. There were tables, which we seated ourselves at, and we were served with decent tableware, but it felt a little awkward. Would definitely, definitely recommend for take-out, and the owner was a sweetheart who I could probably chat with all day lol but don 't plan on taking a big party for eating in. The food was delicious though, and the portions were generous for the price. Oh! And he explained the ingredients to us when he brought out our appetizer! Just really impeccable service. There is also a Cannabis Cafe counter with a small selection of products, and another area with some handmade jewelry. Not everything had prices, and the cannabis area was not well lit. But with a little bit of TLC I think that part of the shop has a lot of potential, it just added to the grab and go feel of the place as it was. I don 't see the diversity of services as a negative at all, but it could be made more inviting. Overall, we loved the place and will absolutely be back for food and more!
