Los Jarritos Cafe (rochester)

We enjoy every visit to Los Jarritos, for it's authentic Mexican cuisine. The portions are large, so we have to split a meal or take the rest home. The staff is friendly and proficient, the area is always very clean, and the service is leisurely but prompt.

This is the most authentic and highest quality Mexican food I've had in a very long time. I ate here twice in one week while visiting Rochester (once for lunch and once for dinner). Both times my food and my friends' food was really good. It is true that the service was a bit slow and that there is cheaper Mexican food elsewhere in Rochester (I tried other places too), but they're nice people and Los Jarritos has the best authentic Mexican food around. Also, it has several Mexican beers and a couple American beers on tap. I definitely recommend it.

This restaurant is very spacious and consistently empty whenever I visit. The food is decent, but the lone waiter on staff seems to be overwhelmed and indifferent. Upon entering, no one greets you, leaving you unsure if the waiter even knows you are there. Eventually, he may emerge from the back after a lengthy wait. However, don't expect to be offered water - if you request it, you'll receive an excessive amount in a red plastic bucket. The utensils will be provided in a single paper napkin, and finding additional napkins will prove to be a challenging task. If you manage to ask for more, you'll only receive one extra napkin per person. Despite these shortcomings, the prices are surprisingly high. Overall, this restaurant fails to impress.

We absolutely adored this restaurant! We ordered the verde enchiladas with beans, guacamole, and chips, and everything was delicious! The only small complaint is that the food could have been a bit hotter. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food and service. The restaurant is also very charming and cute.

Service was terrible, waiter got everything mixed up. Overpriced food and not good. Will not be back, it to bad it is very nice inside.
