Denny's - Rochester

I went into an almost completely empty range. the host asked me what I would like to drink. I asked for coffee and water with lemon. I waited for ten minutes and looked up and they and their employees were in the conversation, but I still didn't get my drinks. So I got up and left. will not be returned: 1/5

Just came denny’s on kingsway to brunch with children and had a great time even a busy weekend. service was good, even thought was really busy, our server was really attentive and made sure we had enough coffee and serviettes. we love to come to Dennys, but service is always a plus. Food: 5/5

The workers are nice but sometimes they tend to be forgetful. Depending on the day it's hit or miss. I've 5 star service and meals at this location and I've had not so great meals here. I suspect that this may be due to the staffing/worker shortage.

Had to leave before eating because as we were waiting in line to be seated a waitress started screaming and cursing at some people who were eating and made them rush out... I was with my wife and daughter so we left. Didn't want that to happen to us. The world really be wildin if that is acceptable behavior for a waitress nowadaysKid-friendliness: Definitely not kid friendly with that language

I had never been to Dennys before and i will never go back there after my horrible experience there last night. before i give my experience, i understand being a waitress is stressful and hard and especially when you got a lot of people there and youre doing the night shift. its not fun. i get that but it was absolutely unacceptable what happened. my husband and i get there about 1am, workers just keep walking by looking at us not saying a word and finally a lady walks by and tells us theres a wait. so we sit and wait. mind you, theres nobody else waiting for a table besides my husband and i. another couple comes in about 20-30 mins after us. they sit next to us and finally someone else comes up and asks if we told them and says theres a 20 min wait. (its not our responsibility to tell your customers theres a wait and we didnt even know the time for the wait) another couple comes in 5-10 mins after the couple that had just came in. and then a group of kids come in, 4 of them. mind you, the entire time my husband and i have been sitting waiting to be seated, every time someone walked by us they looked over at us. so the waitress who told us there was a wait go to the group of kids who had literally just walked in and asked them if there was only 4 of them...they said there was actually 9 of them...so she takes out the menus and is getting ready to seat them. obviously were upset bc my husband and i had been waiting 30-40 mins at this time and im 36 weeks pregnant so i was hungry and just overall angry at the entire situation. so we spoke up and the group of kids were nice enough to tell the waitress they didnt want to be seated bc we had been waiting a long time and they had just got there. another waitress comes around and takes the 3rd couple that was there way after us and seated them. i was mind blown at how disfunctional this restaurant was. so the waitress grabs menus and just walks to a table without saying anything and then waves us over the table and walks away. so already the experience was not worth waiting 30-40 mins. so we order and we notice people who had been seated after us got their food before us so it really just seemed like they are extremely unorganized and dont know what theyre doing. the entire time, while waiting to be seated, while we were seated, while we were eating, the workers were loud and very disrespectful to each other. the way they talked to each other was not professional at all. but now that i know what to expect i really had the highest of expectations just for a diner which i didnt think wouldve been a bad thing but clearly i was wrong. once we got our food, the dishes were dirty. i had pancakes on one plate that also had red sauce under neath my pancakes like a pasta sauce...so i stopped eating them after that. and my other plate with the rest of my food, the plate just had other foods on the edge of the plate and underneath the plate that i didnt order. which was disgusting. this was the worst restaurant i have ever been to. honestly this place should just be shut down or get entirely new workers because this is NOT a place to go. at all. absolutely disgusting. workers are extremely rude to customers and each other and they are extremely disorganized. i wish i could give this **** hole negative stars.
