We had amazing service and a delicious meal! Would recommend the Italian bistro for anyone who wants authentic Italian cuisine! The decor was such a joy! We were on a business trip for the last few weeks we have to send out for every meal! We were looking for something different from the usual possibilities available to us! We're glad we're eating here! Superb! View all feedback.
What Gilbert Martel doesn't like about Italian Bistro:
I had the Chicken Basalmic and it was ok. House salad was watery just like all the reviews told me. Waitress didn't even offer the complimentary bread until we were almost finished with our meal. We drove 45 minutes to try this restaurant solely on the recommendation of a friend that lives in Roanoke. It wasn't worth the drive. We have way better closer to home. View all feedback.
I've seen it before. the front of the building opposite the road is actually the side, front is in the east facing another building that makes it look like it wasn't busy, so we never stopped. excellent eating, this will be our new way to Italian place if I don't want the suppe salat and brotsticks by olive garden woman loved the homemade lasagne and I had a stromboli and it wascho the best I have a new, the next
It is always a joy to visit this family restaurant in roanoke. that's our way to italia. not only eating is delicious, but the service is always at the point. friendly faces welcome us always and take our commands. the server is long gone, and the owners are always in front of location and make sure they are happy. Live guitar music on Friday is now a tradition. good wine selection. my favorite dish is seafood pasta, although this last time I have eaten pizza and I could choose my own toppings with a thin crust. the spumoni for dessert was so good!
Beautiful building with poor quality, overpriced eating. I had chicken piccata. we start with the salat. caesar salat and they do not make their own dressing. I can't prove it, but I suspect that they don't make any sauces of scratches and my dinner companion said that he thought his aubergineparm was frozen. my chicken piccata had no taste of lemon, the sauce was thin and it was bitter. there were two tiny chicken cuts that were hit to a quarter centimeter thick. they had no color, but we are still dry and tasteless. obviously overcooked. not even the rollers were made in the load. they were clearly frozen dough they just baked. three guests at this meal and none of us would go back. as the price my chicken piccata was $18. it could have been 6 unnoticed chickens on the teller. food costs were probably $3. menu costs should be three times their food costs. that should have been a meal of 10 or $11. not a $18 meal. I would never spend my money on this place again. Oh, and the service was bad. the waiter actually reached over one of my companion heads to give me my meal and we sat at a four tip in the middle of the floor.
Forget every other place, I had only the best chicken seafood pasta ever. in any case I come back to try other dishes
Wow. Walk in with my 7 yo daughter.Asked for a table for us to sit side-by-side and pointed to the table.Host said it is for 6 people.Yes, I see that.Since there is only one other table with people in the place at 3:30 pm figured it wouldn't be an issue. We didn't get sat at that table. So we left.
