Here for the Mother's Day and breakfast only the other day and I must say that both the paints our meal was beautiful we had every choice on the carvery of 3 meats and a good selection of veg and was constantly updated with fresh topped the breakfast was also nice with a lot of choice to help themselves, and the cooked breakfast was delicious the service that I had found both paintings again was quick and extremely helpful and extremely helpful and will visit
Had a great day today for my little 2nd birthday. the personal went to the next level to deliver balloons, a birthday ice cream and a keks when we left. many thanks to all those who have helped
Obviously I had a completely different experience for all the others who recently reviewed. the place was spotlessly clean, including the high chair (which is a rarity) and beautiful and warm on a really cold day. the service was before place. holly was very attentive and pleasant. Eating came about 10 minutes. all absolutely red hot and fresh. great to also see more healthier options for children. we had a side of kese garlic flat brot, that was nice, but definitiw too big for 1 person as side. the water that was immediately brought to the table was a nice note, as this does not occur in 'family' art pub / restaurants. based on this visit I will return 100%. (Only as a top, although I did not order, the cheese and the bacon flat cake are served cold)
Been here many times, never had any problems, food is always decent, staff are friendly
Hit and miss in the early days when it opened as a Cookhouse Pub, but seems to have established itself over time. The main menu is reasonably priced for what you get, and the daytime value menu (Mon to Fri, 12 till 6) is fantastic for the price at £8.99 for 2 selected mains. Best to book if you can, but they do their best to accommodate walk ins where possible. Staff are friendly and professional, although sometimes you get the feeling they are a bit thin on the ground at times in terms of staffing. Wait times for food can be a bit longer than you'd expect, especially when busy but don't mind this as food is usually spot on when brought out. The interiour itself is light and airy and feels modern. Their Sunday carvery is amazing and best in the area in my opinion for the price; gets busy on Sunday lunchtime and it's not hard to see why. Main menu also served on a Sunday too which is nice considering most restaurants serve roasts only on this day. Large car park, so no issues in this respect.
